Grant News
The UK Space Agency has launched a new £1.4 million funding call to support early-stage research and development projects that strengthen the UK’s capabilities in satellite-based Earth observation.
Through the Earth Observation Missions and Technology (EOMT) Innovation Call 1, UK organisations can apply for grants of between £50,000 and £200,000 to develop innovative Earth observation technologies. Projects should be at Technology Readiness Levels 1 to 4 and align with the objectives of the UK National Space Strategy.
Applications are particularly encouraged for technologies supporting climate and environmental monitoring, commercial development and dual use, with the potential to deliver economic, export and scientific benefits.
Research organisations, universities, public sector bodies, and charities can apply individually or as part of a consortium.
Projects can run for up to 12 months.
Applications close on 1 September 2026.
