Grant News
The Livewell Foundation has opened its 2026 large grants programme, offering grants of up to £10,000 for projects improving health and wellbeing in Plymouth and South West Devon. Livewell Southwest CIC established the Foundation to support community initiatives that help people live healthier and happier lives.
Funding is available for projects that:
- improve health and wellbeing;
- reduce mental or physical ill health;
- reduce social isolation.
Priority will be given to applications addressing children’s mental health, women’s health and child obesity. Funding can support staff salaries, activities, running costs, equipment, small-scale refurbishment, organisational development and eligible core costs.
The type of projects that could be supported include community wellbeing activities, mental health support, programmes tackling isolation, women’s health initiatives, or activities encouraging healthier lifestyles among children.
Key highlights:
- grassroots groups, charities, CICs and other eligible third sector organisations can apply;
- projects must directly benefit communities in Plymouth, South Hams or West Devon;
- large grants are worth up to £10,000;
- small grants of up to £1,000 remain open throughout the year.
Applications must be submitted online. Large grant applications close on 30 November 2026. Small grants are considered quarterly. Applicants previously unsuccessful for a large grant should normally wait 12 months before reapplying.
