£20 Million Capital Fund for Retail, Hospitality, & Leisure SMEs (Wales)
The Welsh Government is making £20 million of capital funding available to support SMEs in the retail, hospitality, and leisure sectors.
The Future Proofing Fund will provide grants of between £5,000 and £10,000 to help eligible businesses reduce their running costs and increase their profitability through:
- investment in renewable energy technology
- improvements to the fabric of their premises
- upgrades to systems or machinery
The funding will support up to 75 per cent of project costs or £10,000, whichever is the lesser amount. Businesses will be expected to contribute the remaining 25% from other sources.
Up to 2,500 micro, small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) are expected to benefit.
An eligibility checker will open in mid-April 2024, followed by the application process in May 2024.
