Funding to Help Sports Clubs to Become More Energy Efficient (Wales)
Sport Wales has announced that its Energy Saving Grants programme has reopened for applications.
Up to £25,000 in grants will be available to help sports clubs become more energy-efficient and sustainable.
The funding can be used towards the costs of energy-saving measures, such as:
- new windows and doors, reducing heating needs
- more energy-efficient and eco-friendly heating systems
- better insulation (not including structural work to roofs)
- solar panels and storage batteries
- LED lights and movement sensors
- sustainable water harvesting systems
Clubs must either own their building or have a minimum 7-year lease and will need to contribute a minimum of 20% towards their total project costs.
The closing date for stage one applications is 5pm on 29 June 2026.
