£5 Million Tourism Fund Launched to Enhance Visitor Experiences (Wales)

The Welsh Government has launched a new round of the Brilliant Basics Capital Fund, with a further £5 million invested to support small scale tourism infrastructure improvements.

The funding is available to local and national park authorities to improve tourist destinations that benefit visitors and local communities.

The focus will be on upgrading basic yet essential visitor infrastructure to improve accessibility and promote environmental sustainability at popular tourist hotspots.

Previously funded projects include electric vehicle charging points, improved toilet and car parking facilities, accessible changing places, and smart bins.
