Grant News
Media Cymru and Ffilm Cymru Wales have launched the Climate Stories Fund, which offers grants of up to £20,000 for research and development projects that create innovative climate content.
The fund aims to support the development of feature films or immersive experiences that tell the story of the climate crisis in new and compelling ways. After the initial R&D phase, successful applicants can apply for an additional £50,000 from Ffilm Cymru Wales to bring their projects to life.
The Climate Stories Fund is open to individuals and companies based in Wales with the capacity to research and develop their climate content ideas during a four-month R&D period from 1 April to 31 July 2025. The fund seeks to challenge existing structural imbalances in the R&D network and better represent the social and cultural diversity of Wales. It is part of a broader initiative by Media Cymru to support green and innovative projects in the Welsh media sector.
The closing date for submissions is the 17th January 2025 at noon, with applicants to be notified by the 14th February 2025.
Interested parties can apply online through the Media Cymru website, where guidance notes and application details are available. The fund organisers emphasise that all applications must be completed and submitted online, as they cannot accept applications in other formats.
