Grant News
The Welsh Government has announced that its Taith scheme, an international learning exchange programme, has re-opened for applications. Taith aims to fill gaps created by the UK's withdrawal from Erasmus+, providing new opportunities for learners and staff across Wales to engage in international exchanges and collaborations.
Taith offers grants to support global learning experiences for individuals and groups across various educational sectors in Wales, including schools, youth organisations, adult education, further education and vocational education and training, and higher education.
The programme provides funding for both outbound and inbound mobility opportunities, enabling participants to engage in short- and long-term learning, work, or volunteering experiences abroad. Additionally, Taith supports projects fostering educational innovation and international collaboration to address specific issues or sector priorities within Wales.
Eligible organisations include educational institutions and training providers in these sectors.
Taith offers a Small Grants scheme for Pathway 1 2025, allowing a simplified application process to encourage participation from smaller, less well-resourced organisations. For those seeking more substantial funding, a Large Grants scheme is available. This is currently closed for applications. The programme also allocates additional funds to support participants from disadvantaged backgrounds, disabled individuals, and those with additional learning needs, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
Applications for Pathway 1 2025 are currently open, with a closing date of the 27th March 2025. Interested organisations are encouraged to apply through the official Taith website, where application forms and grant calculation tools are available.
