The Welsh Government has unveiled the Euro 2025 Partner Support Fund, allocating £1 million to commemorate the national women's football team's historic participation in the UEFA Women's Euro 2025 tournament in Switzerland this summer. This initiative aims to capitalise on the tournament's momentum to inspire the next generation and boost sports participation across Wales, thereby enhancing national health and well-being.
The fund is designed to support organisations within the culture, arts, sport, and media sectors. Eligible activities include promoting Wales on an international stage, organising events to engage youth in sports, and facilitating fan celebrations both domestically and globally. This effort seeks to create a lasting legacy from the Euros, positioning Wales prominently among Europe's top 16 teams.
Applications are open to a diverse range of organisations within the specified sectors. The application process comprises two stages: initial expressions of interest must be submitted by 1 pm on the 7th March 2025. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to provide a fully costed proposal by the 4th April 2025. Interested parties can request further details and application forms by emailing Euro25@gov.wales
