Charities, local authorities, and other not-for-profit organisations in Wales can apply for a share of £400,000 in funding to encourage and support under-represented, newly enfranchised, and disabled people to participate in democracy.
The funding will be made available by the Welsh government through the Democratic Engagement Grant to ensure as many people as possible are engaged, motivated, and empowered to take part in the democratic process.
The funding will support projects that either build on work that has already demonstrated impact, or those that have an innovative approach to overcoming identified barriers to participation from under-represented groups.
Partnerships and collaborations are welcome.
Applications for bids over £1,000 must be submitted by the 9th May 2025. Applications for under £1,000 can be submitted at any time.
