The Arts Council of Wales has launched the Major Productions Fund to support large-scale, ambitious, and high-quality live arts performances that showcase Welsh creativity and talent.
A total of £600,000 in new funding is available to support experienced organisations looking to deliver bold and imaginative theatre, dance, or musical theatre productions with the potential to reach wide audiences across Wales and beyond.
Eligibility:
- Registered Charity or Charitable Trust
- Company Limited by Guarantee
- Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO)
- Community Interest Company (CIC)
- Company Limited by Shares (must meet public benefit criteria)
- Unincorporated Association
- Partnership (including LLPs, with directors not at the same address)
- Public Bodies (e.g. Local Authorities, Universities, Health Boards)
Grants of between £100,000 and £300,000 are available to support new works, re-stagings, and touring or site-specific projects. Up to 75% of the total project costs will be funded.
Applicants will need to demonstrate that appropriate partnerships are in place to scale the project.
The fund opens to applications on the 3rd November 2025 and closes on the 28th January 2026.
Applicants will need to allow a minimum of eight working weeks between the deadline date and the project start date.
