Grant News
Registered charities and other not-for-profit organisations in Yorkshire, the Midlands, and the Liverpool City Region can apply for grants of up to £15,000 through the Jane Tomlinson Appeal’s 2026 Big Charity Giveaway.
The scheme supports Jane Tomlinson’s legacy of improving lives through community giving and aims to help organisations continue, develop, or expand their work and reach more people in need.
A total of £250,000 is available to support projects that make a meaningful difference, such as:
- capital building/renovation/refurbishment works for residential, nursing, respite care and schools
- play schemes and play therapy schemes
- day and social activity centres including building costs and running costs
- support for families, including respite schemes
- independent living schemes
- support in the community schemes
- bereavement support services for children and young people
- research (cancer or children related illness)
The Appeal particularly welcomes applications from organisations supporting children or cancer patients and their families. It has previously funded projects in cancer care, bereavement support, mental health, and children’s wellbeing.
In exceptional circumstances a new project may be funded over two or three years, subject to satisfactory reports on progress.
The deadline for applications is the 5th February 2026.
