Funding Available for International Learning Exchange Opportunities (Wales)

Grants are available to support international learning exchange opportunities.

Taith Pathway 1, Wales' international learning exchange programme, enables learners, young people, and staff across the education and youth sectors to explore new cultures, gain skills, and exchange knowledge through international study, training, volunteering, and work exchanges.

It also welcomes international partners and learners to do the same in Wales.

The sectors eligible for funding are:

  • schools
  • youth
  • adult education
  • further education and vocational education and training
  • higher education (covering education and research)

The aim of the funding is to make international exchange more accessible, particularly for underrepresented groups, such as:

  • people from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • ethnic minorities
  • Disabled people
  • people with additional learning needs

Each sector has its own Pathway guide, which provides details about the individual Taith Funding Pathways, including eligible activities, costs and sector specific information.

The deadline for applications is 12pm on the 18th March 2026.
