Around £3.9 million in unclaimed rail fare dispute funds will be spent on free legal advice as part of a new grants programme announced by the Access to Justice Foundation.
The Improving Lives Through Advice 2026 funding programme, will provide unrestricted three-year grants to organisations delivering free legal advice in London, South East England, Wales, and Scotland.
The initiative aims to increase access to justice for vulnerable communities by supporting frontline, free legal advice services.
Applications will open on the 16th February 2026 and close on the 16th March 2026, with grants due to start in June 2026.
