Grants Available for Projects Tackling Poverty, Inequality and Mental Health (Wales)

Community organisations across Wales are invited to apply for flexible funding from Postcode Community Trust, a grant-giving body supported by players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.

The Trust provides unrestricted grants of up to £50,000 over three years. Funding requests must not exceed 75% of an organisation’s most recent annual income, and no more than 50% of the total award can be drawn down in a single year.

Eligible applicants include registered charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs) with an asset lock, and Charitable Community Benefit Societies operating in Wales. Organisations must have been established for at least 12 months, have signed annual accounts, and report an annual income between £10,000 and £1 million. Priority may be given to smaller organisations, groups working in areas of high deprivation, and those supporting marginalised communities.

Funding supports activities aligned with the Trust’s themes: preventing or reducing poverty, improving mental health, enabling participation in the arts, and tackling inequality.

Applications are accepted during scheduled funding rounds, typically held three times a year. The next closing date for applications is 12 noon 2 March 2026.
