Grant News
The Department for Transport and the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles have announced £1 billion in support to help businesses and public authorities switch to zero-emission vans and trucks, and install depot charging infrastructure across the UK.
Funding is being delivered through the Zero Emissions Truck and Van grants and the Depot Charging Scheme, with the measures aimed at tackling high upfront vehicle costs and limited access to charging.
The Truck grant will offer companies savings of up to £81,000 off the heaviest zero emissions trucks, covering up to 40% of the cost. The Van grant will continue to offer discounts of up to £5,000 off the cost of electric vans.
Businesses and public authorities will also save up to £1 million when installing chargers for vans, coaches, and HGVs through the Depot Charging Scheme.
The investment is intended to support fleet decarbonisation, reduce exposure to fuel price uncertainty, and lower emissions and operating costs.
