Funding for LGBTQ+ Pride Events (Wales)

Pride organisers across Wales can apply for funding to help cover the costs of local Pride events held during 2026 to 2027.

The funding is provided through the Grassroots Pride Fund, delivered by the Welsh Government in partnership with Pride Cymru. A total of £69,250 is available this year.

The fund will support LGBTQ+ Pride events in rural areas and smaller towns, helping communities create safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces.

Some of the targets of the Fund are to enable:

  • organisations to host an LGBTQ+ Pride event in a location in Wales, which can include opportunities for LGBTQ+ performers and artists
  • organisations to undertake outreach with wider communities with a focus on exploring safer spaces and supporting new social events
  • a government commitment to provide on-going support to Pride Organisations

Previously supported projects include Together for Colwyn Bay which used the funding to deliver a free, full weekend of celebrations, live music, entertainment, family-friendly activities, community stalls and food vendors.

Applications open on 15 June 2026 and close on 17 August 2026.
