Small and medium-sized businesses (including start-ups) in the construction industry are being encouraged to apply for funding to help them digitize and find new ways of doing business.

Thirty grants are available for 30% funding between £1,000 and £5,000 towards consultancy services; the purchase of systems/bespoke software development; or hardware such as tablets, smart phones, monitors and laptops, barcode scanners and accessories.

The funding is made available through I-Construct, a supply chain development project set up by the Haven Gateway Partnership to help local companies in Essex access the construction market.

Businesses such as quantity surveyors, contractors, architects, electricians, plumbers, landscapers, and manufacturers and product providers can apply for funding.

Awards will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
