Funding to Raise the Academic Attainment of Disadvantaged Children & Young People (England)

The Education Endowment Foundation has launched its autumn funding round. The Foundation funds and evaluates projects taking place in educational settings in England that will raise the attainment and wider outcomes of children and young people from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

This funding round focuses on the priority areas of writing and secondary mathematics, supporting early-programme development and different types of research, including evidence synthesis, practice reviews, pilot evaluations, quasi-experimental studies, and randomised controlled trials.

Three funding streams are available:

  • Innovation Projects
  • Development and Pilot Projects
  • Efficacy and Effectiveness Trials

A fixed grant of £25,000 is available for innovation projects, and a fixed grant of £22,000 is available for development projects. There is no minimum or maximum grant size for Pilot Projects or Efficacy and Effectiveness Trials.

The deadline for applications is 11am on the 7th November 2024.
