Grant News
Fight for Sight, a UK-based charity dedicated to funding eye research, has announced the opening of its Capacity Building Fund. This initiative offers grants ranging from £10,000 to £20,000, aiming to support vision loss charities in enhancing their sustainability and resilience. The fund focuses on fostering collaboration within the sight loss sector and bolstering small, grassroots organisations to better meet the increasing demand for equitable service provision across the UK.
Eligible applicants include UK-registered charities, Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs), charitable companies limited by guarantee, Community Interest Companies (CICs) limited by guarantee, and exempt charities such as educational establishments. To qualify, these organisations must primarily serve individuals living with or at risk of sight loss. The grants are intended to address capacity-related challenges, such as staff shortages, high operational costs, and limitations in physical space, which can hinder service delivery and organisational growth.
The closing date for applications is 9am on the 7th January 2025. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their submissions by the 31st March 2025.
