New £5.8m Funding Opens for Community and Environmental Projects (East England)

Anglian Water has launched a new £5.8 million fund for community- and environment-focused organisations across the East of England.

The Thriving Communities Fund, which will run over the next five years, seeks to support projects that deliver both social benefits and environmental improvements, such as improving water quality, reducing flood risk, enhancing green spaces, boosting biodiversity and helping deliver better wellbeing outcomes for communities.

Eligible organisations, such as charities, community groups, schools, and environmental organisations operating in Anglian Water’s region, can apply for grants ranging from £10,000 to £100,000. Projects seeking more than £50,000 must first submit an Expression of Interest by 8 December 2025, after which they may be invited to submit a full application. For applications requesting between £10,000 and £50,000, the closing deadline is 11:59 am on 1 February 2026.

The fund will be open in multiple rounds over the coming years.
