Grants of up to £1 Million Available to Develop Veterans Centres (UK)

Charities, Community Interest Companies, and local government bodies can apply for grants of between £200,000 and £1 million to develop VALOUR Recognised Centres that provide in-person support for veterans and the wider Armed Forces community.

The funding, made available through the VALOUR Recognised Centres Development Fund, is delivered by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust on behalf of the Office for Veterans’ Affairs. Funding is available over three years and will support place-based centres that provide a welcoming physical space where veterans can access guidance and connect with appropriate local services.

Centres must provide support in areas such as health, housing, and employment, and are expected to work closely with statutory and voluntary sector partners. Applicants will need to show strong local knowledge, experience of supporting veterans, effective referral pathways, robust governance, safeguarding and data protection arrangements. Centres must be open at least four days a week, with arrangements in place for people who need help outside those hours.

This funding round will prioritise areas with the greatest geographical need. Applications from London and the East of England are particularly encouraged, as no awards were made there in Round One. Consortium applications are also encouraged.

The programme has a two-stage application process. Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 12 noon on 15 June 2026. Invited full applications must be submitted by 12 noon on 26 August 2026.
