Schools and youth groups across the UK are invited to apply for funding to help them maintain existing links with schools in Germany.

The UK-German Connection Flexible Funding Scheme awards grants of up to £10,000 for a range of joint activities between existing partner schools and youth groups, including visits or virtual activities, which support direct contact between young people from both countries.

Each visit should involve at least 8 young people from each country, especially those who would not otherwise have the chance to take part. The funding will cover the cost of travel, accommodation, activities and subsistence.

Up to £2,000 is available for virtual activities. Applications from local clusters of institutions are also welcome.

The grant can cover a maximum of 75% of total cost of the visit.

The closing date for applications is the 31st January 2024.
