New Grant Scheme Opens to Boost Nature Recovery in the UK Overseas Territories (UK)

The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs has launched a new multi-million-pound grant scheme to tackle biodiversity loss in the UK Overseas Territories, including the Falkland Islands and Montserrat.

The Darwin Plus Strategic Fund will support larger, more transformative projects up to £3 million over the next three to five years, which are designed to tackle invasive species, improve internationally important habitats such as cloud forests and coral reefs, and expand monitoring of climate change to improve resilience. Recipients of Darwin Plus Main project funding are eligible to apply.

The closing date for applications is the 24th July 2023.
