Funding for Projects to Meet the Needs of Children from Armed Forces Families (UK)

Schools in the UK can apply for grants of up to £15,000 to help meet the need of children from Armed Forces families.

The funding is being made available through the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust's Force for Change programme. The programme aims to address isolation amongst Armed Forces families; increase engagement within their local area and alleviate the challenges caused by the cost of living crisis.

When submitting applications, Schools must include information about the proportion of children in their school who come from Armed Forces families, outline their specific needs, and describe how these needs have been assessed. Even schools with a small number of children from serving families will be considered if they can demonstrate unique needs that are not being addressed through other sources.

Please note that only individual schools can apply, and overarching academy chains or Trusts are not eligible.

The next closing date for applications is 5pm on the 13th December 2023.

Previous projects supported include: Priory Church in Wales Primary School received a grant to establish an area for adventurous play, supporting health and wellbeing for children from Armed Forces families.
