Grant News
The government has announced £1.5 billion in funding to tackle deprivation in 75 areas across the UK.
Each area will receive up to £20 million over the next decade as part of the government’s Plan for Neighbourhoods, which aims to breathe new life into local high streets, parks, youth clubs, cultural venues, libraries, and health and wellbeing services.
New neighbourhood boards will be established, bringing together residents and businesses to decide how the funds are spent.
Options range from repairing pavements and revitalising high streets to setting up community grocers, co-operatives, or neighbourhood watch schemes.
Funding will be released from April 2025, with investment delivery starting in 2026.
