Grant News
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport is making £5.5 million in funding available to improve local library services in England.
The funding is being made available through the fourth round of the Libraries Improvement Fund, which will award grants of between £50,000 to £500,000 to support library services in upgrading their building and digital infrastructure so they can respond to the changing ways people use them.
Local authorities can apply on behalf of a library service which could, for example, use the funding to refurbish or extend; improve accessibility for users, eg toilets, baby changing, and ramps; and install/improve Wi-Fi connectivity.
The fund, which is administered by Arts Council England, is open to expressions of interest until 12pm on the 30th May 2025.
