Grant News
The Forte Charitable Foundation is awarding grants of £10,000 to £50,000 for one year, or up to £100,000 over three years, to support family-focused work in deprived communities across the UK. The Foundation funds small and medium-sized local voluntary organisations tackling deprivation and disadvantage.
Funding is focused on Family Support, including early intervention, families affected by addiction and prisoners’ families. Grants can cover core costs, salaries, running costs and project costs. Recent awards have supported therapeutic work with trauma-affected children and parents, domestic abuse support, family support workers and services for families experiencing mental ill health.
The applicant organisation’s postcode, or the project area, must be ranked within the most deprived 15% of the Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) for urban areas or within the most deprived 50% for rural areas.
Recent examples of projects funded include:
- Therapeutic support for children and parents affected by trauma, including adverse childhood experiences.
- Domestic abuse support, including trauma-informed services for mothers and children living in refuges.
- Family support workers providing practical, emotional and early-intervention support to vulnerable families.
- Mental health support for parents and families, including counselling and specialist family services.
- Support for refugee families, including help with anxiety, domestic abuse and mental health difficulties.
- Parenting and early-years support, including services for families with infants and young children.
