Charities, community groups, and other not-for-profit organisations in Leeds can apply for grants of up to £22,000 to provide hot meals and enrichment activities for school-age children during the Easter, Summer and Christmas school holidays in 2025.
The Healthy Holidays Grants Programme will support activities such as:
- Sport & physical activity, dance, drama, outdoor activities, games, arts and crafts, environmental activities
- Providing new experiences e.g. trips to the coast, countryside or attractions (day trips only)
- Activities that include cookery and:

- improves the skills and confidence of families to make affordable, healthy meals
- helps children to understand nutrition and how to achieve it in daily life

Funding can cover costs such as:
- staff costs
- reasonable venue costs
- volunteer expenses
- costs associated with sourcing food and ingredients
Small unincorporated and unregistered community organisations with an annual income of less than £10,000 can apply for grants of up to £5,000.
It is expected that around 50 applications will be funded.
Funding is made available by the Department for Education, and administered by the Leeds Community Foundation in partnership with Leeds City Council.
The deadline for applications is 12pm on the 6th January 2025.
