Comic Relief Launches Community Justice Fund (Northeast England, Wales, West Midlands, Yorkshire & the Humber)

Comic Relief has launched a new funding opportunity for organisations in Northeast England, Wales, West Midlands, and Yorkshire and the Humber that advocate for racial justice and gender justice in their local communities.

The Community Justice Fund offers grants of between £200,000 and £450,000 over 3 to 5 years for organisations led by and for marginalised communities facing long-term systemic injustices, discrimination and exclusion based on their ethnicity and/or gender.

The funding aims to support work that creates lasting change in the systems, policies and practices that affect these communities.

This can include:

  • Influencing and advocacy focusing on improved outcomes for communities
  • Early intervention services and support for communities, that influence practice, systems and behaviour change
  • Or a combination of both

Applications from partnerships of up to three organisations are welcomed.

This funding opportunity is available for organisations with an annual income between £75,000 and £500,000.

The deadline for applications is 12pm on the 2nd May 2024.

Comic expect to inform organisations of the outcome of an application by Friday 25 May 2024.
