Grants Available to Protect Family Finances from Climate Change and the Impact of Net Zero Policies (UK)

Charities, voluntary organisations, think tanks, campaigning groups, research bodies and universities can apply for funding for strategic work that will protect and improve the finances of people on low-to-middle incomes as the UK adapts to climate change and works towards meeting Net Zero targets.

The abrdn Financial Fairness Trust’s Climate Change and Household Finances in the UK grant programme invites proposals from organisations seeking funding for policy work, campaigning and research focused on three areas that influence financial wellbeing: income; spending; and assets.

Applications are particularly encouraged for work focusing on:

  • transport
  • consumerism
  • energy use
  • labour market transitions
  • Scotland and UK-wide work
  • other Net Zero and financial wellbeing themes

There is no minimum or maximum funding amount, but most grants range between £10,000 and £200,000.

Organisations must contact the Trust in the first instance to discuss their application.

The deadline for applications is 1pm on the 3rd June 2024.
