Grant News
Charities, Community Benefit Societies, Community Interest Companies in Wales, and Companies limited by guarantee with an asset lock can apply for grants of between £500 and £25,000 to support projects that benefit local communities and disadvantaged people.
Organisations with an annual income of under £1,000,000 are eligible, with a preference for those earning less than £250,000.
The grant funding, provided by the Postcode Community Trust and funded by the People’s Postcode Lottery players, is designed to assist smaller charities and grassroots initiatives. This focus aims to enhance community-driven change and empower organisations often facing greater resource challenges.
Funding is unrestricted, allowing recipients to use it for various purposes aligned with the Trust’s seven key themes:
- enabling participation in physical activity,
- enabling participation in the arts,
- preventing or reducing the impact of poverty,
- supporting marginalised groups and tackling inequality,
- improving biodiversity and responding to the climate emergency,
- improving green spaces and increasing access to the outdoors
- providing support to improve mental health.
Applications are open from the 26th May until 12 noon on 2 June 2025. The funding process prioritises equity, diversity, and inclusion and encourages organisations to pay the Real Living Wage.
