Up to £50,000 in grants are available to support sports clubs and community organisations across Wales in improving access to physical activity.

With funding from the National Lottery, the Sports Wales Be Active Wales Fund will support projects that promote equality, and create long-term sustainability and innovation in sport.

The fund will support:

• purchasing equipment that allows more people to participate in sport
• upskilling volunteers in areas where your club lacks expertise or experience
• development of innovative projects that promote physical activity in new or different ways
• clubs utilising technology to engage more people in physical activity
• outreach aimed at people who are currently under-represented in sport and physical activity

Projects will be prioritised based on their community impact. 

Organisations must contribute 10% for grants over £10,000 or 20% over £25,000.

A total of £1 million remains available during this funding window.

Organisations must submit an expression of interest before completing a full application by the 13th January 2025.
