Grant News
Media Cymru is offering grants up to £50,000 for innovative media projects as part of its Development Fund 2025. The fund aims to drive far reaching economic and social impacts within Wales's media sector.
Media Cymry welcomes applications from different sizes and types of organisations, including micro-businesses, sole traders and freelancers, and the funding is available to develop products, services, and experiences that push the boundaries of media technology and production.
The grants, disbursed by Cardiff University, are designed to foster advancements in areas such as immersive storytelling, AI in media production, and sustainable practices that align with the decarbonisation goals of the Screen New Deal Transformation Plan for Wales. Media Cymru is particularly interested in projects that can demonstrate potential for long-term benefits, such as creating new business models or enhancing production capabilities that could position Welsh media on a global stage.
Those interested can apply through Media Cymru's official website, where they can also find additional guidance and support for formulating their applications (link below).
The closing date for applications is the 28th February 2025.
