£1.5 Million Fund to Tackle Child Poverty (Wales)
The Welsh Government is making nearly £1.5 million in funding available to support public and third-sector organisations, including faith groups, in working together to tackle child poverty.
The Child Poverty Innovation and Supporting Communities Grant Scheme will support organisations in their efforts to achieve the following:
- Enhance the capacity of organisations to form collaborative working arrangements to address child poverty, linked to one or more of the 5 objectives of the Child Poverty Strategy for Wales 2024
- Support organisations working together to enhance effective communication, joint working and knowledge transfer in responding to child poverty at the regional, local or community level
Eligible organisations can apply for grants of up to:
- £25,000 for community and local projects
- £125,000 for regional initiatives
This funding is designed to strengthen existing or establish new collaborative efforts that aim to improve the experiences and outcomes of children, young people and their families.
The application deadline is the 13th April 2025.
