Grant News
Community organisations are invited to apply for funding to support creative projects that promote the use of the Welsh language (Cymraeg) and strengthen local cultural identity.
The Llais y Lle (Voice of Place) grant scheme aims to help grassroots groups deliver long-term, arts-based projects that embed Cymraeg in everyday community life.
The scheme is looking for ideas that will discover creative ways of working and lay a solid foundation for future development. There are three focus points for the priorities of the Llais y Lle fund:
- Cymraeg
- Creativity
- Community
Organisations may be artistic, cultural, or linguistic, with the majority of funding supporting creative individuals working within the community.
Grants of up to £40,000 are available, covering up to 90% of total eligible project costs.
National bodies, organisations that operate occasionally, work that is at arm’s length from the community, educational organisations, private companies or religious organisations will not be funded.
Projects should begin in March 2026 and finish by the end of February 2027.
The National Lottery funds the scheme through the Arts Council of Wales, which is accepting applications until 12pm on the 2nd February 2026.
