Grant News
Charities, social enterprises, co-ops, and community groups can apply for grants of up to £1,000 to run small activities that bring people together and boost wellbeing across Greater Manchester.
Funded through the GM=EqAl Inclusion & Wellbeing Partnership Fund, these micro grants aim to support marginalised and geographically dispersed communities who often struggle to access funding.
This includes minority ethnic, LGBTQ+, disabled, and migrant groups who are:
- not concentrated in any particular area or spread across multiple boroughs
- not always visible at a local level, but a significant population across Greater Manchester
- may have specific needs or experiences, requiring tailored approaches to engagement, service design, and representation
Projects should focus on improving wellbeing, fostering social connection, and exploring the theme ‘How do we Live Well together?’.
Initiatives could include:
- small events and gatherings - cultural celebrations, coffee mornings, shared meals, days out
- short projects - creative or wellbeing sessions, peer groups, community reporting and listening projects
- community resources - short video/s, podcasts, guidance (e.g. ‘how to work with our group’ leaflet)
- access and inclusion costs - interpreters, childcare, transport support
Between fifteen and twenty projects are expected to be funded.
Applications will be reviewed on a weekly basis until the fund closes on the 15th December 2025.
