Funding to Boost Community Volunteering - Very Short Application Deadline (Scotland)

The Bank of Scotland Foundation has announced that its Enable Programme is now open for applications.

The programme, a joint initiative with Lloyds Banking Group, aims to boost community volunteering.

Successful applicants will receive a three-year grant ranging from £30,000 to £90,000 (£10,000 to £30,000 per annum) to cover costs related to volunteering projects.

These costs may include:

  • volunteer database costs
  • volunteer transport costs
  • volunteer manager salaries/partial salaries of charity employees whose role is to support volunteers
  • volunteer training
  • volunteer protective equipment/clothing/badges
  • volunteer out-of-pocket expenses e.g. drinks/meals
  • volunteer insurance
  • volunteer administration e.g. newsletters, meetings
  • volunteer advertising and recruitment costs

Funding can also be used to purchase materials for activities delivered by volunteers.

Organisations must have an annual income of less than £500,000 to be eligible to apply.

The Enable Programme is part of the Foundation’s new five-year strategy, which aims to meet the needs and aspirations of vulnerable people in Scotland.

The deadline for applications is 12pm on the 11th September 2024.
