Grant News
The Maurice and Hilda Lewis Charitable Trust (MHLCT) has launched the Warm Spaces Fund 2024-25, offering up to 25 grants of £1,000 each to eligible churches in deprived areas of Thanet, Isle of Wight, and Cumbria. The fund aims to support churches running warm spaces registered with the Warm Welcome Campaign during the winter of 2024/25.
To be eligible, applicants must meet three criteria:
- operate in a deprived area within the specified regions,
- run a 'Warm Space' in a church-run building during the 2024-2025 winter season,
- and be registered as a Warm Space with the Warm Welcome Campaign.
The total funding available is £25,000, and the grants are designed to provide additional support to churches offering warm spaces in their communities.
Applications are currently open and will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. The fund will close once the maximum number of grants have been awarded or at 4pm on Friday 31st January 2025, whichever comes first.
The Laing Family Trusts aim to notify applicants of the outcome within two weeks of receiving their application.
