UK Charities Can Apply for Grants Up to £50,000 for Legal Support Projects (UK)

UK-registered charities are invited to apply for grants ranging from £25,000 to £50,000 for projects that advance access to justice within the UK. The Shoosmiths Foundation has allocated a total funding pool of £100,000 to support initiatives that either sustain or improve community access to specialist legal advice or expand pro bono legal support through partnerships with organisations and educational institutions. Priority will be given to smaller UK-registered charities, with applications required to focus on specific projects rather than unrestricted funding.

The funding aims to address barriers to justice by supporting charities that provide free or low-cost legal services, legal aid support, and assist individuals with legal. Additionally, projects that leverage the pro bono efforts of law firms, universities, and legal professionals to enhance legal support for disadvantaged groups will be considered.

The deadline for submissions is 18th April 2025, though the application window may close earlier if sufficient suitable applications are received. Charities interested in applying can complete the application form available on the Shoosmiths Foundation website and submit it via email. This initiative reflects the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to fostering sustainable change and ensuring access to justice for vulnerable communities.
