£10,000 Grants to Help Make Laboratories More Environmentally Sustainable (UK/Worldwide)

The Royal Society of Chemistry offers funding to help scientists make their laboratories more environmentally sustainable.

Through the Sustainable Laboratories Grants programme, grants of up to £10,000 are available to support projects that aim to improve the sustainability of chemical sciences research by:

  • advancing understanding of environmentally sustainable laboratory practice
  • increasing the take-up of environmentally sustainable laboratory practices in the chemical sciences
  • facilitating the sharing of best practices

This could be achieved through research, data collection, pilot studies, resource development, or activities supporting networking, community development and sharing good practice.

Applicants must be members of the Royal Society of Chemistry working in any sector or location worldwide to be eligible. This includes:

  • PhD students
  • post-doctoral researchers
  • technicians
  • scientists working in chemistry using industries including SMEs

Collaborations within and beyond chemistry are also welcome.

The deadline for applications is 2pm on the 7th October 2024.
