Innovate UK, in partnership with the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology, has launched a £1.3 million competition to support the development of cyber security skills and growth of the cyber security sector.
The competition will support regional initiatives and events that address geographical disparities in the sector's development and work to reduce the existing skills gap.
It is open to single applicants and collaborations. Organisations must be a UK registered:
- business of any size
- academic institution
- research and technology organisation (RTO)
- charity
- not for profit
- public sector organisation
Grants of between £25,000 and £150,000 are available for proposals which are to be delivered in one of the following seven specified areas:
- Northern Ireland
- North-West England
- South-West England
- Yorkshire & Humber
- Northeast England
- East Midlands
- West Midlands
Proposals must have the endorsement of the local steering group.
The competition closes at 11am on the 9th October 2024.
