Funding to Support Disabled & Disadvantaged Children & Young People (South East - excluding London & Greater London)

Charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs throughout the South East (excluding London & Greater London) can apply for grants of up to £30,000 through the Peter Harrison Foundation Positive Futures for Children and Young People grant scheme.

The grant scheme aims to support projects that improve the lives of children and young people who are physically, mentally, or socially disadvantaged.

Two levels of funding are available:

  • Major grants: between £5,000 and £30,000
  • Small grants: up to £5,000

The funding will support capital, revenue or project funding for up to three years.

Priority is given to organisations with an annual turnover of up to £500,000.

Previously funded organisations include:

  • The Douglas Bader Foundation which received a grant of £5,000 to purchase new prosthetic arms and attachments for children and young people
  • Enable Activity which was awarded a grant of £18,000 to support an employability programme for young people with learning disabilities and autism
  • The Tim Henman Foundation which received a grant of £10,000 towards the core costs of delivering free, year-round adapted sports and activity coaching for children

The next closing date for applications is the 1st October 2024.
