UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Rural England Prosperity Fund Open for Applications (Shropshire)

Businesses and community organisations in Shropshire can now apply for grants from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Rural England Prosperity Fund.

The fund is a £2.1 billion investment from the UK government to help reduce inequalities between communities. Shropshire has been allocated £12.25 million through UK Shared Prosperity Fund and £2.6 million through the the Rural England Prosperity Fund over the next three years.

The fund will support projects that focus on three key priorities:

  • Supporting local businesses: The call is specifically for intermediary organisations to deliver support to businesses, such as through business support initiatives or grant programmes. Applications under this priorities will be accepted until 5pm on the 6th October 2023.
  • Community and Place: The call is specifically for intermediary organisations to deliver support, services, amenities or facilities to local communities. Applications under this priorities will be accepted until 5pm on the 6th October 2023.
  • Rural England Prosperity Fund: Community and Place.  Projects must be in rural areas of Shropshire with populations below 10,000 and the wider countryside and market or ‘hub towns’ with populations of up to 30,000 that serve their surrounding rural areas as centres of employment and in providing services. . Applications under this priorities will be accepted until 5pm on the 13th October 2023.

The fund is open to a wide range of applicants, including businesses, charities, social enterprises, and local authorities.
