Community and voluntary organisations, town and parish councils, PTAs and other not-for-profit groups can apply for a share of £25,000 in funding to deliver projects that encourage communities to make more affordable, healthy, and sustainable food choices.

The Warwickshire County Council Kind Communities - Kind Food Grant Scheme will award grants of up to £1,000 for projects which contribute to one or more of the following priorities:

• Helping residents to access more affordable, local, healthier food choices and therefore help to prevent food insecurity
• Extending the range of choices of healthy food available to people, through education, support, and awareness - so that people and communities are better equipped to help themselves secure a more varied and healthy diet
• Encouraging and providing more locally sourced food choices, thereby helping to reduce ‘food miles’, or support the reduction and recycling of food waste

Applications can be submitted at any time until 5pm on the 7th January 2024.
