The fund is designed to support grassroots organisations working across the West Midlands to help victims of crime understand and exercise their rights under the Victims’ Code. Applications are invited from voluntary and community sector groups delivering community-based, inclusive and culturally responsive initiatives, particularly those reaching underrepresented or underserved communities.
A total of £80,000 is available, with individual grants ranging from £5,000 to £10,000. Funding is intended for innovative activities that increase awareness and practical understanding of victims’ rights.
Eligible projects may include:
- community information sessions,
- drop-in advice clinics,
- workshops,
- peer mentoring,
- volunteer training programmes,
- creative engagement initiatives such as podcasts or arts projects,
- and the development of accessible or translated information materials.
Projects should demonstrate clear community benefit and outline how they will improve knowledge of the Victims’ Code and support victims in navigating the criminal justice system.
The application deadline is 9:00 a.m. on 2 March 2026. Successful projects are expected to commence from 1 April 2026.
