Grant News
The Renters Rights Act Campaign Fund is now open for applications from community-based organisations across the West Midlands. The programme is delivered by the West Midlands Combined Authority to support awareness of the new Renters Rights Act among private renters.
Community groups, voluntary organisations and registered charities in Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall or Wolverhampton are eligible to apply.
Grants of £1,000 to £2,500 are available. The total programme budget is £30,000.
Projects must raise awareness of tenants’ rights under the Renters Rights Act and encourage renters to understand and exercise those rights. Activities should be delivered between 1 May and 30 May 2026.
Examples of suitable projects include:
- A coffee morning where offering practical advice on how people can raise concerns about their property and tenancy
- Door knocking and sharing flyers with private tenants
- Pop up stands at local events or in high footfall locations
Applications must be submitted by 15 March 2026, with decisions expected by 27 March 2026.
