Funding to Support the Development of Low & Zero Carbon Heat Networks (England)

Public, private, and third sector organisations in England can apply for funding to support the development of low and zero carbon heat networks.

The £10 million Green Heat Network Fund (GHNF) Transition Scheme supports the commercialisation of low-carbon heat network projects (including the supply of cooling), and will help organisations prepare for early applications to the full GHNF scheme when it is launched by the Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy in the spring of 2022.

It is anticipated that the scheme will award grants of up £1 million to support up to, but not including, 50% of a project’s total combined commercialisation costs and capital expenditure.

The deadline for applications is 12pm on the 12th August 2021.
