Funding for Local Road Safety Projects (UK)

Local Authorities, Police Forces, Fire and Rescue Services, UK-based registered charities, universities, not-for-profit social enterprises and community interest companies can apply for funding for local road safety projects.

The Road Safety Trust is making funding available for projects which have the potential for being brought to scale - with the ultimate goal of reducing deaths and injuries both locally and across the UK. Through the Trust’s Small Grants Programme grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 over a maximum of two years are available for projects which are either a pilot, trial or evaluation of a practical road safety intervention.

All projects should have other sources of funding, either cash or in-kind.

The deadline for applications is the 24th April 2024.

The Trust is holding a webinar on 25 March at 2pm for applicants to find out more about what is funded and how to apply. Potential applicants can also sign up for 1:1 appointments with the Trust’s Grants team to discuss potential projects.
