Grants to Help Get People Back on their Bikes this Summer (England)

Local volunteer led-groups, social enterprises, and other not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants of up to £3,000 to deliver cycling events to get people back on their bikes this summer.

The Big Bike Revival Programme will support organisations across England to deliver a summer programme of activity that will encourage people who do not currently cycle regularly (once every two weeks or less) to consider either starting or returning to cycling.

This includes people experiencing:

  • social, economic and health deprivation
  • people from diverse backgrounds
  • those facing multiple challenges

The funding, which is made available by the Department for Transport, could be spent on equipment to expand delivery, venue hire for learning events, or instructors to lead bike rides.

Applications will open on the 4th March 2024. Further details will be made available after this date.
