Not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants of up to £3,000 to deliver projects that provide relief, respite and support for full-time unpaid carers who are caring for a loved one with dementia.

The funding, which is made available through the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation’s Dementia Carers Fund, will support charitable projects across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough that:

• give support to unpaid carers who need to attend appointments of their own (e.g. haircuts, doctors)
• encourage unpaid carers to recharge and stay healthy themselves by supporting them to take self-care breaks
• support volunteer befriender initiatives

The next closing date for applications is the 1st May 2024.
